Days of week png for Cricut

I needed some days of the week stickers for my personal planner. I created these in adobe illustrator so they have a shadow and I could cut on my Cricut machine. You can get the file by clicking here or going to my website imaginestamps.com and clicking free file.

Recollections Mini

Here is my recollections mini, I purchased the one with the layout on the inside I liked; I did not like the cover at all so I searched through my scrapbook paper and found something to work with and viola a new cover. For the holes I used the We r Memory Keepers  planner punch and used the 4 hole spiral punch and with only a few adjustments started punching.

Be sure to google any items you want to purchase to find the best price!!
Stay tuned to see how I decorate the inside.

Stamp storage

I've used the CD storage for my stamps for years, my problem had always been how to store all those CDS in a compact space. Thankfully even though digital music has taken over they still make and sell CD/DVD storage racks.

Multi sentiment stamp

I was making a quick gift for a dear friend and couldn't decide what sentiment to use on the cards.  I ended up creating this multi sentiment stamp. Cheesy or Brilliant-it works! The butterfly is from Stampin Up.

Pool Party Invitations

Was asked by a friend to create some pool party invitations. Once I put my creative thinking cap on an idea quickly came to mind. I love just floating in the pool on my raft so what better way to advertise a pool party than a raft!

I chose the pinky purple paper since i had a lot on hand, seems I don't use a lot of purple in any of my work. The card base is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size, but I made these postcard style so all you have to do is flip it over for the details. The 4 rectangles measure 3/4 x 4 1/2 and the horizontal rectangle measures 1 1/4 x 4 1/2. I cut these on my Cricut from a rectangle with rounded edges.  I then inked the edges in a darker purple and glued onto the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" base card. The pillow I glued only partly onto the card base, so the finished card measures 6 1/4 x 4 1/2. Invitations are being hand delivered so I was not concerned about fitting into an envelope.

The smaller water splat and raindrops in the upper right hand corner are from a couple of old punches I own. The large water splat and drops are cut from the Cricut Explore I don't know the cartridge name as I just searched for water splat and found one I liked. Pool party is cut from the Cricut Explore also using my fonts I have installed on my computer. The word POOL is Ballon font and PARTY is Boyz r gross font. Last finishing touches were some highlights using a blue sparkle jelly pen.

I am not a big coffee drinker, I don't like the taste of coffee, so I love the foofoo coffees on the market; and now I found one for the Keurig coffee machine. It already has the creamer and sugar making it perfect for me!!

Digital Scrapping

*Gasp* I know with my room full of paper scrapbook supplies how can I even mention digital scrapping? But really, life is getting busier and I'm falling behind on archiving my photos. I need to get that journaling down on paper (or computer in this case) before I forget all the little tidbits of the story. So this is how it all began......

A friend of mine had a Creative Memories party where I was able to see what a digital scrap program can do. Unfortunately or fortunately in my case; CM doesn't make a version for the Mac at the moment (will they ever? that's a whole other post since my mac already does what their photo organizing software says is new and exciting). So I went home disappointed I couldn't at least try it. Now I love research, so I dug in and had one of those eureka moments, the software that I design the stamps I make on will also work for digital scrapping. Now I want simple. I love all those quick pages you can find all over the internet (a ton for free too!)  In the last couple of days I've journaled, titled, dragged, dropped and cropped and have completed 6 pages. It will go even quicker now that I've got the hang of it. Just have to have them printed and if I die next week I'll know the memories were archived for my family.

Don't get me wrong I will still paper scrap when I have time, I just don't know when that will be!

Teacher Appreciation

I forgot I took these photos of the gifts my kids gave their teachers for Teacher appreciation week.
The pot was painted by my oldest and then we sharpened all the pencils. We punched and layered flowers and used a thumb tack to attach the flowers to the erasers on the pencils. I added some glass floral pebbles in the bottom and tossed in a simple silk flower bunch and viola, a pencil bouquet. Teachers loved it and since they were running short on pencils the perfect gift!
